April 29 @ 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm HONOR
Take advantage of the experience of more than 15 years of a music professional who has promoted the development of skills of people withspecial educational needs: learning disabilities, verbal and nonverbal autism, Asperger, TDHA, cognitive delay, dementia, cerebral palsy andDown's syndrome.
I will name you only 5 objectives that we achieve with musical learning and the PIANO instrument for children with SEN (special needs) at Muse Projects:
1.We improve fine motor coordination, because playing the piano involves coordinating the movements of the hands and fingers precisely, developing reading-writing skills.
2.We improve concentration and attention: Learning to play the piano requires concentration and sustained attention. Regular practice can help improve the ability to concentrate even in children with non-verbal autism and promote focused attention on a specific task..
3.Sensory stimulation: Music itself is a form of sensory stimulation, and playing the piano gives children a rewarding tactile and auditory experience, at the same time that it is the means of expression and non-verbal communication.
4.We favor emotional expression, because through music we transmit emotions, moods and thoughts, even if they have difficulties with speech.
5.We improve your self-concept and self-esteem. As they progress and achieve tangible results, experience a sense of personal achievement, which can have a positive impact on your emotional well-being.
